Exciting Trip to the Old Man Mountain

The Old Man Mountain, located in the side of Xiqing Lake near to the downtown of Guilin, is named because it looks like an old man. I think the name is very funning so i  visited it with three of my friends on last Sunday.

That day was sunny and we began our trip on the 17:00 pm when the sun was sunset. We were so happy and full of energy at the begining of climbing it. There are only few cement steps and others are mountain pass even only some stones. When we arrivaled at the half way of the mountain, all of us felt very tried. We looked up the top of the mountain and then looked each other because it is too steep to climb to the top. There is no rode to climb and we can only climb it from some steep stones. After a short rest, one of my friend asked, ” do we need to go the the top of the mountain?” Some one shaked his head. It was very quiet at that moment.

However, we still decised to climb to the top. I thought there would be some different views. Yes, it was really very hard to climb and we nearly climb like a flog. What’s worse, Boby is afraid of heights. He could not dare to stand up during the whole way. Of course, we were right. The views on the top is very different and beautiful. We can look down the whole views of Guilin City. What’s more, we enjoyed the beautiful sunset.

I rememberred Boby told me that he just felt live again when we arrivaled at the foot of the mountain. I could understand him, but i also thought this was the valuable experience for him.
