Memorable Mid-Autumn Festival 2009

August 15th according to the lunar calendar is the traditional Mid Autumn Festival in China. This year, it falls on October 3rd, 2009. I went home to celebrate this important festival with my family. I haven’t been home to celebrate with my family for a long long time, so I felt very happied that I could went home this year.

Mid-Autumn Festival 2009Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most important festival to the Spring Festival to Chinese people. Every year, when the festival comes people go home from every corner of the world to meet their family and have dinner with them. The traditional food of this festival is the mooncake, of which there are many different varieties. We don’t buy the mooncakes from markets, we make them by ourselves. It sounds interesting, right? Actually, it is very easy to make.  This year, I made the mooncakes together with my mother and my elder sister, but I forgot to take a picture of them, I will do it next time. We also went to the fruit market to buy some delicious fruits, a little busy to prepare, but all of us felt very happy.

I worked in Guilin, but my hometown is Nanning, because of the working time, I only go home when the big festival coming, so every gethering makes me happy, I also treasure every get-together. I love my falimy very much.
