| Day 2 Kunming, Zhongdian ( B,L ) |
| Get up earlier in the morning, transferred to Kunming airport for the early flight to Zhongdian. Be met and drive to visit the Puda Tso National Park, including Shudu Lake & Bita Lake. Later drive back to Zhongdian, pay a Tibetan Family visiting on the way. After arrival, transferred to visit the Songzanlin Monastery, you may see the Lama having their evening lesson. |
Bitahai Lake | Bitahai Nature Reserve, located 35 kilometers east of the county seat of Zhongdian, it is an intact natural attraction with outstanding flora and fauna and picturesque landscapes.In the reserve itself, century-old pines and cypresses grow around Bitahai Lake, in which the water is crystal clear. | Songzanlin Monastery | Songzanlin Monastery, or 'Little Potala' as it is affectionately known, is a spiritual place that invites you to discover the mystery and traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. | Day 3 Zhongdian, Deqin ( B,L ) |
| Today we'll drive from Zhongdian to Shengping Town in Deqin County (187 KM). Visit the Great Bend of Yangtze River, enjoy scenery of Jinsha River Valley, wooden workshop at Benzilan en route. After lunch, visit the Dongzhulin Lamasery, through the Baimang Snow Mountain, enjoy the splendid sunset view from the top stop. The view along the way is fantastic with different kinds of trees, streams down the valley, prayer flags and stupas, and Tibetan villages. After arrival, check in the hotel. |
Napahai Lake | The Napahai Nature Reserve, at an altitude of 3,266 meters above sea level, is located 8 kilometers northwest of the county seat of Zhongdian. | Dongzhulin Monastery | Dongzhulin Monastery is located in Deqen County. | Day 4 Deqin ( B,L ) |
| Get up early in the morning (packing breafast), we'll drive to Mingyong village, stop at Feilai Temple to enjoy the sunrise of the Meili Snow Mountain (if good weather). After lunch, start your hiking trip from village up to Meili Snow Mountain (or ride horse/mule up & down). After about 3 hours trekking, we'll get to the Taizi Monastery, a good spot to view the magnificent Mingyong Ice Glacier. Continue upping to the top to enjoy more. After the tour, drive back to Deqin County. |
Sunrise photo of Kagebo Peak | When you arrive at Feilai Temple in the afternoon, find a good photo location for sunrise photo next morning. Test your camera, choose the best solution for light. | After days of toilsome but exciting trip, you're likely to be a little tired, so this morning you can enjoy a breezy relaxing time for getting refreshed. After lunch, we will drive back to Zhongdian, enjoy tremendous view of mountains, lakes and forest on the way. |
