Hi Libby, Thanks for a great trip to Beijing! We had a great trip with Arthur, and can't say enough how great of a guide he was- truly felt welcome in a foreign land. He was very informative and professional, and at the same time fun and flexible. Some of the government-run shops that were not on the schedule were a little much and felt like tourist traps, but otherwise everything was great- nothing negative to say about the car, driver, or food. Libby: I have small recomendations to you : Program in Xian is not very rich - one day is enough - Goose pagoda and Muslims pagoda are for twenty minutes each, Terracotta Army is nice. Red Wall hotel in Beijing is derelict, it would be good to find another hotel.
