Guangzhou food Festival
Since 1986, the Guangzhou International Gourmets Festivl has been held every autumn ,with 100 restaurants and food makers coming feom all over the country. They may be large chain stoses, old food makers, or just local food providers. They bring hundreds of local foods. Hundreds of thousands of visitorscome each time. The cooking competition is the most interesting part.
Guangzhou Flower Festival
Also called spring Flower Festival, it originated during the Ming Dynasty in 15th centuary. Guangzhou folk hold a flower festival three days before the traditional Chinese New Year. Each area has flower nd fruit set out on streets. The colourful exhibits draw people to view and popular. Crowds in festival mood wnder about until after midnight on the Spring Festivaleve.

Lychee Festivals |
Lychee Festival
June and July are the saeson for lychees in Guangdong. Many towns hold large Lychee festivals to celebrate the harvest. While tasting the delicious fruit, people enjoy folk art performances and do business deals.
Dragon-Boat Festival
It is held each year around the fifth of the fifth month of the lunar calendar. The Pear River Dwlta hosts many dragon boat races, but those in Shunde, Dongguan, are the most ecciting. Some are held in the Pearl River by Gubgzhou. With muchu beating of cymbals and drums, boats sail out in excitement.
Shunde Food Festival
Shunde is one of the birthplaces for Guangdong stle cuisine. Peopleoften say execellent foods come from Guangdong, and best cooks form Shunde. The festival is held every October. Each resturant will enter their unique dishes in a competiton. Visiors come form afar ro taste the food.
