As the capital city, Guiyang is the political, economical, cultural and traffice center of Guizhou province, which has atotal area of 8,032 square meters with a population of 3.12 million and 5 prefectures, 3 counties and a municipality under tis asministration.
 Guiyang is situated in the central part of Guizhou province, to the south of the Guishan mountain, hence the name Guiyang., With an altitude of 1,080 m above the sea level, it si a mmountain city embraced by mabny mountains. In a subrropical zone, it possessed an even-green surrounding and leeasant climate with an average temperature of 15.6C. It is praised a ' Spring City', and dieal lace for a summer resort and tourism.
