Portman Acrobatic Show
one of the best is the Portman Acrobatic Show. Performed by Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe which is a well-known Chinese professional acrobatics performing group which was founded in 1951. It frequently tours internationally and perform routinely at Shanghai and other cities in China.

-- The acrobatic show at the Theatre in the Portman Ritz-Carlton Hotel is Huangpu Sensation 1.
-- Because the Portman Theatre is fully booked on many days, a show of Huangpu Sensation 2 is on stage in the newly renovated Huxi Theatre since Sep.10th, 2010. How to go to the theatre
The theatre address has been writen in Chinese on the voucher, please print the voucher, and display it to the taxit driver.
Get your show ticket at the theatre
We have long term contract with Portman Acrobatic Theatre, the seats will be reserved. Please display our ticket confirmation voucher to the theatre staff, they will give you a show ticket, and help you to find the seat.
Urgent booking
In case for urgent booking within 24 hours, please send a SMS to Lisa at 18928753755 (click to check more details), If there is vacany, we will reserve the seats via telephone, and send a Confirm SMS to your mobile phone. The seat will be reserved for you. We might not have time to prepare a ticket confirmation voucher for urgent booking.
At the theatre, you will be asked to pay in cash. They do not accept credit card.
Show time
The Portman Acrobatic starts at 19h30, ends at 21h00. Please arrive at the theatre at 19h00. You need time to find your seat. Please leave your hotel/appartment at 18h00. The rush hour traffic might take more time than you think.

Need to cancel the ticket
No cancellation fee if you change or cancel the booking 48 hours prior of the show day. We will send the refund to your paypal account.
We will issue 100% refund of your payment through PayPal for up to 60 days from the original day the deposit was sent.
If you cancel the tickets after 60 days from the original day the payment was sent, we will inform you how much transaction fee has been deducted by PayPal, the rest of your payment will be transferred to your paypal account.
If you cancel the booking in 48 hours, no refund. Because the theatre will charge us 100% of the ticket cost.
Need to change to another show day
Please inform us 48 hours prior of the show day, we will check the availability for seats and contact you as soon as possible. If we can not change to the required day, we will recommend another day, or send the refund to your paypal account as required.

ERA Shanghai Circus World / Circus City Acrobatic Show
Shanghai Circus City, located on Gonghexin Road, occupying an area of 22,500 sq.m., is a cultural, sports and amusement centre in Shanghai's northern district.
Since 2006, many new programs have been added, and it is renamed as ERA Shanghai Circus World.
The Circus City in composed of 5 parts with acrobatic and circus show as the main body, a rehearsal hall, an amusement city, an animal house and a performers' reception centre.
The Circus is equipped with up-to-date facilities complete in functions, providing a place for large-scale domestic and international acrobatic competitions and performances. It can also meet the needs of the citizens' cultural lives for music, song and dance shows.

When: 7:30pm, usually seven nights a week
The Shanghai ERA Theatre does not allow people to buy ticket in advance, you can only buy tickets 30 minute before show time for that day, from the booking office in the theatre. At the booking office, the tour guide can get a good discount rate, other people have to pay full rate.
This is their company policy for many many years, very strange policy. Many people have asked if it would be OK to reserve tickets for a special day, and deliver tickets to their apartment or hotel. The answer from the theatre is NO.
So we can only offer a package service: ticket + one way hotel/theatre transfer. We will reserve tickets for you by telephone, send a tour guide to pick you up from the hotel or apartment, take you to the theatre. The tour guide will help you to find the seat. The he/she left. The taxi fare after the show will be paid by yourself.
That is one of the reasons why our quotation looks expensive. Anyway, you do not need to pay the taxi fare to the theatre.

No. The theatre only issues ticket 30 minute prior of the show time on show day, and ask us to assign a tour guide to escort foreigners from the hotel to the theatre. Only by this way, the theatre accepts our reservation for pre-booking. That is the reason why our quotations sounds so expensive.
In fact, we recommend you to watch another Shanghai acrobaitic show at 5 star Ritz-Carton hotel. The cost is only USD22 per person.

The purpose for this telephone call is to make sure that you have checked in the hotel. So in case you have not checked in the hotel for any reason, please telephone us immediately at: (outside China) or 020-22822049 (in China).
Take a taxi back to the hotel
Our tour guide will leave the theatre after helping you to find the seat. After the show, please take a taxi back to the hotel by yourself. This cost is not included in our quotation. If you need the driver and tour guide to wait for you, please tell us when you book the ticket, an extra cost will be informed.
