Visit to Qinzhou--A 'Remote Corner of the Earth'
Qinzhou, GuangxiIn Qinzhou Bay, a medium-sized bay located north of Beibu Gulf, there is a famous natural phenomenon called the Seventy-Two Waterways which is in fact a winding path formed by more than 70 green mounds jutting up randomly the six-kilometer coast line.

Scenic Spot Under Azure Skies
This spot can be reached in two ways. Either take a boat to one of the small islands or go by car up Jilong Hill for a bird's-eye view of the scene.
With green mounds rising out of the blue waters, the scene resembles that of Qiandao Lake was formed as a result of a dam building project while the Seventy-Two Waterways is a natural marvel. Along the coast fishing boats bring back prawns, oysters, crabs and groupers.

Flavor of the Ancient Border City
Qinzhou City, located on China's south coast, was considered to be the "remotest corner on earth". In Qinzhou Park, there is a Tianya (Remotest Corner) Pavilion, which dates back to the Song Dynasty (960-1127). It was given this descriptive name because Qinzhou faced the ocean to its south and was thousands of miles away from the capital.

In the Sui Dynasty (581-618), to defend the county against invaders from the sea, a battlement was built at Jiuzhou in Lingshan County. The fortress was later moved to Qinzhou during the Song Dynasty, Today, ruins of the city walls stand about two to five meters high, with traces of an ancient moat.               More informations of Qinzhou
