Qinzhou

Qinzhou City is located along the coast in the south of Guangxi, facing Beibu Gulf and bordering Vietnam on the southwest. It has jurisdiction over counties of Lingshan, Pubei, It's total area is 10602 square kms And total population is 2,946 million. It is also one of major overseas Chinese resident's homeland of Guangxi.

Qinzhou city has a unique advantage of geographic position. On the tip of Beibu Gulf, among the sea gateway of Guangxi coast or as far as the country's southeast coast, she is the nearest to Guangxi's capital, Nanning and is only 110 kms away. After the completion of Nanning-kunming Railway, she is also the most convenient gateway of leading to sea for the three provinces of Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan, and the Xiang west, Er west area along the Zhi-Liu railway line.

Qinzhou port is about 30 kms from Qinzhou proper and it is one of the state's few natural fine deep water ports. Early in 1918, in the " Construction Scheme", Mr. Sun Zhongshan pointed out with great foresight: "To improve Qinzhou into a sea port." However, it's pitiful that he had gone so early and had not achieved his wishes.

Between Qinzhou port and Qinzhou city proper, the land that utilized for development of industrial zone are 259 square kms and in most of the area are the low hills below 100 meters above sea level, the conditions of topography and stratum are fine and convenient for distributing industrial projects, and the coastal industrial massive belt may be planned to construct here.

Qinzhou city has sea and mountains and is rich in natural resources. So it can be so called as "A Treasure Bowl" and has a broad prospect for development. The mountain area is suitable for forestry and animal-husbandry, tableland and plain for farming and sideline, shallow seabeach for fishing, salt industry and raising. All of these form a natural agriculture production structure containing five fields. Because of the complication and diversity of photography and terrain, the whole city's mineral resources are also very rich, which mainly are plaster stone, potter clay, ceramic tile, limestone and mineral water, etc. As a coastal area with continent coastline ling for 521 kms and island coastline 507 kms, and with stable water temperature, considerate salt content, rich natural fish bait and rarely non-pollution, Qinzhou is very suitable for growing and raising the tropical fish and jellyfish .The world well kmown pearl in Qinzhou Gulf, together with the pearl of Hepu County is so called as the "Southern Pearl" and is rated as a class A pearl all around the world. Along the coast, there are comparatively rich tourism resources.
