Ancient Stone City

It is a mysterious stone city. Its circumvallation and four doors in four directions are well kept. It covers an area of 10 square km. In this ancient stone city, you can find the anient wells,ancient tower sites and delicate stone carvings.

In the old days, the stone city "was hidden and no one knew where."In recent years people come here and explore. No one knows when it was built,so it remains a mystery.

Stone city is available only by trekking, you might start trekking from Yangdi Village, walk along the bank of Li River for 3 hours, stay overnight in a local farmer's home - Lao Zhao's Inn, continue to walk to the stone city on the next day.

The Hebao Peak nearby has known by professional photographers for years. Lao Zhao is the owner of this family inn, it was simple, and the only choice in the village.

 Lao Zhao is a traditional Chinese farmer, many local photographers know his name, his home is quite cloase to Hebao Hill, the best place for a good panoramic picture of sunrise on Li River. He renovated his Old Ancestral House for professional cameraman to stay overnight 30 years ago. he did not allow a man and a woman to share one room, even if you have married for years.

Once a Chinese couple showed him their official certificate of marriage statue issued by Chinese authority (Who takes this certificate when you are travelling?) , but he said 'No Way', because the old house is the Ancestral House. Traditional custom... 

After the new hostel has been built in Spring of 2005, he started to "allow" couples to stay in one room overnight... Mr. Lao Zhao knows every small trail in this area, he will be your best guide, you need to climb the mountain at 4h30 am in darkness, for your sunrise picture.

In 2010, LaoZhao and his grown-up children started to build another new hotel, 4 story building with full facilities for accommodations.   And he also prepare camping service at the foot of Hebao Peak.
