West Street

West Street used to be a narrow street selling tools, clothes to local farmers before 1990, now it turns into an attraction for tourists, a place full of gift shops, bars and restaurants.

 

People like to spend their holidays here for weekend, it is the most populated are in Yangshuo. At night, you can join in party after party in every small bar on the street.

The West Street at downtown has attracted a large number of travelers from home and abroad. West Street is all flanked by small shops and vendor's stands selling all kinds of souvenirs and snacks. Chinese and the young Western bicyclists and backpackers are seen hanging out at Micky Mao's or Hard Rock Cafe` , or at Lisa's Cafe eating apple pie, beefsteak French fries, and ice-cream sundaes.(" where else in China you gonna find this?'')

West StreetOn the West Street, international tourists feel at home, because everyone speaks in fluent English and every restaurant or bar offers menus in several languages. Here there is no loneliness as internet service connects travelers with their relatives at the farthest end of world.

You can swim in the Li River, walk around the local fruit and vegetable market, or sipping your beer on West Street, watching colorful local activities.

At night, you might go to watch the optional entertainment of Impression Liusanjie, directed by Mr. Zhang Yimou, the most famous Chinese director, who director famous Chinese movies of " Red Lantern", "Ju Dou", "Hero".. The ticket is RMB 188 or USD 23 per person.
