Miao Ethnic on Market

A trip to Sanjiang

No special Festival in Jan 2011
Winter is the time for rest after hard working for a whole year, and the weather is pretty cold in mountains.  You might choose to stay in one village for 3-4 days.  Lot of activities happen every day.

The path of life is leisure and slow in winter.  People often gather in the drum tower or wind and rain bridge in the day time, doing nother but having small talks. Especially when children finish their school, or start their winter holiday, the village is full of joyful, young people hold the festival dance surrounding the drum tower. They are honest and hospitality, and welcome the tourists to join in them.

Kindly remind you to be careful for invitations of having a drink in their homes. The home-make wine is sweet, foods are good, people are willing to share their happiness...Even the women can drink a lot, and sing beautiful songs, it makes to you difficult to say no.   It is a tradition and a great honor for locals to let their guests have a sound sleep in their homes, after a big dinner.  Frankly speaking, it happens every time when we visit their villages, and we have to worn you in advance:  Be careful of those pretty girls in their love traditional costumes, they sing a lot, smile a lot, drink a lot, dance a lot...
