Not popular festivals well known in March in this area.

Spring comes earlier in river valleys in Sanjiang county, large areas of rice paddies, wooden structure houses, drum towers, wind and rain bridges are highlights to visit by bikes, or by foot.

 

It is the best of season to visit this area in March, when the water is pumping into rice paddies through huge wooden watermill, local farmers transfer young plant of rice from the seedbed to rice fields, lots of photo opportunities.

      Basha      Zhaoxing      Tang'An
      Xijiang      Sanjiang      Longsheng     

 

The Chengyang wind and rain bridge is a perfect place for a picture of sunset. Witn the background view of riverside, watermill, bridges and villages makes a perfect picture of countryside life.

 

The fishing season starts also in Spring.  You do not need a licence to fish here. Follow the local fisherman, see how they fish in the traditional way which has been used for centuaries.
